Getting started

Identifying a plant

  1. Open the Identify tab and either take a photo or pick one from your library.
  2. You get a ranked list of matches with an honest confidence score — not a single guess dressed up as certainty.
  3. Tap a match to open its care page, or tap Add photo to fold in another angle: combining up to three photos of the same plant usually resolves an uncertain match.

Tips for a good match: fill the frame with one plant, get a leaf clearly in focus, shoot in daylight where you can, and prefer a distinctive part (a flower, a leaf shape, bark) over a whole bushy silhouette.

Saving plants to My Garden

From any result or care page, tap Save to My Garden. Your garden lives only on your device — no account, no cloud sync.

Setting up care reminders

Open a plant in My Garden → Reminders, then switch on watering, feeding, pruning or repotting and choose a frequency and time. Anything due appears on the Today tab. Reminders are delivered as local notifications, so they work with no internet.

Diagnosing a sick plant

Open the plant → My plant is sick. Select every symptom you see and the App ranks the likely causes with plain-language treatment steps — fully offline. You can also take a photo and let the App pre-select the matching symptoms for you.

Using the light meter

Open the plant → Check the light, then point your camera at the spot where you want to keep it. The reading is compared against that species’ light needs. Nothing is recorded or saved.
