Getting started

What do I need to use the App?

An iPhone or iPad running iOS 17 or later, and an active subscription. Every class, pose and video is included in the app itself, so once it's installed you can practice completely offline — an internet connection is only needed to start or restore a subscription.

What happens the first time I open the App?

You'll go through a short introduction, a health and safety notice, and a few questions about your experience level, goals and preferred session length. Those answers shape which classes and programs the App recommends, and you can change them later in the Profile tab. After that you'll see the subscription screen.

Where did the safety notice go? I want to read it again.

Profile → Practice safely. It's worth a second read: it covers when to talk to a doctor first, what to do if something hurts, and where your data is stored.

Practicing

How do I start a class?

From the Home tab, tap Start today's practice or any recommended class. The Practice tab has full programs (multi-day plans), and the Discover tab has the individual pose library. Any class opens on a detail screen showing its length, level and pose list, with a Start class button.

How does the session player work?

The player shows the current pose, its breath cue, a countdown, and how far along the class you are. The three controls are previous pose, pause/resume, and next pose. When the timer for a pose runs out, the next one starts automatically.

What happens if I get a phone call or lock my screen mid-class?

The App keeps time against a real clock rather than a counter, so a brief interruption won't leave the timer stuck. If the App is suspended for a long stretch — a long call, or you put the phone down and walk away — the session pauses at the end of the pose you were on instead of racing through the poses you never actually held. Tap play to carry on.

How is my practice time counted?

Only the time you actually held a pose is credited. If you skip ahead or leave a class early, the App counts what you did, not the class's full nominal length — so your history stays honest.

Can I change how the pose videos look?

Yes. Profile → Pose Videos lets you choose an illustrated animation, or a male or female demonstrator. The setting applies everywhere videos appear.
